[Products we bought]
Left to right – Waterproof Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara, Lip Exfoliator, Tone Adjusting Face Primer, Moisturizing Foundation Stick (Caramel, Honey, Nude), Sheer H.D. Powder
Waterproof Lengthening & Volumizing Mascara – $3 USD
Claims to: “give fuller, thicker, and longer lashes that are beautiful and natural while remaining clump free and waterproof” (according to their description)
What we thought: The brush quality was pretty horrid – fibres from the wand would detach and attach itself to your lashes, and the mascara itself ended up clumping contrary to their claim.
Lip Exfoliator (Mint Maniac) – $3 USD
Claims to: “Gently exfoliate dry and chapped lips to leave a smooth and conditioned feel”
What we thought: This item was our best buy out of the whole load! It left our lips feeling smooth and chap-free, and it even has a minty sweet taste to it. It is the perfect item to prep your lips before you slap the lipstick/gloss on, and only $3! *Buys 10 more*
Mineral Infused Tone Adjusting Face Primer – $6 USD
Claims to: “Transform face into a smooth and flawless canvas, combats excess oil, flaky dryness, enlarged pores and fine lines. The purple lavender is ideal for uneven skin tones, and to brighten dull or yellow tones.”
What we thought: Much like its claim, the primer leaves the face texture feeling like a smooth and flawless canvas (much like benefit’s porefessional) and does keep your makeup in place, however it made no difference in terms of adjusting the skin tone or minimizing the fine lines.
Left to right: Caramel, Honey, Nude
Swatched
Blended
Moisturizing Foundation Stick (Nude, Honey, Caramel) – $6 USD
Claims to: “Enriched with antioxidants and anti-aging ingredients, this creamy foundation stick will nourish and hydrate your skin to leave a soft, smooth, and revitalized look.”
What we thought: The foundation stick is definitely creamy and moisturizing however taking a closer look, it leaves the skin looking a little cakey -showing your fine lines.
e.l.f. High Definition Powder (Sheer) – $6 USD
Claims to: “Create a flawless and soft focus effect to the skin with its versatile translucent loose powder”
What we thought: It does leave your skin feeling soft and smooth, it’s very loose and could be best used for “baking” (the face kind). Upon the initial opening of this product, it gave off a synthetic smell that might be a turn off however after awhile it does lose that smell leaving no scent.
